Criminal Justice

Criminal Justice is a program that will help lay the foundation for your education in the world of law enforcement and justice. This course teaches you aspects of how the justice system works, which can lead to jobs in the prison system, law enforcement, or the court system.

Students in this course learn the basics of how the laws in New York State work, as well as how they differ from other states. The Criminal Justice field offers a wide variety of good paying jobs. Throughout the two year program, students will be able to meet and interact with criminal justice professionals at the local, county, state and federal agencies. Students may earn up to 15 college credits through a variety of dual enrollment opportunities.

Integrated Academic Credits Available: 1 credit of Math, 1 credit of Science and 1 credit of ELA over the course of the two year curriculum.

Industry Certification/Concurrent Enrollment Credit Options: Students can earn First Aid and CPR/AED certification and NYS Security Guard certification upon completion of this program.

College Agreements: Bryant and Stratton, Fulton Montgomery Community College, North Country Community College, SUNY Canton, and SUNY Jefferson Community College.
