The Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Program teaches students how to install and maintain industrial and residential HVAC systems. Students also learn things like the refrigeration cycle, thermodynamics, and pressure/temperature relationships.
HVAC technicians are in great demand both locally and internationally. There is a large need in this field as people utilize refrigerators, freezers, heaters, and other similar appliances. Students can obtain OSHA and EPA certifications. They can also further their education by participating in apprenticeship programs or attending college.
Integrated Academic Credits Available: 1 credit of Math, 1 credit of Science and 1 credit of ELA over the course of the two year curriculum.
Industry Certification/Concurrent Enrollment Credit Options: Students can earn OSHA and EPA 608 certifications.
College Agreements: SUNY Canton, Mohawk Valley Community College and University of Northwestern Ohio.
