Van Delivery Service
The van mail service, part of CoSer 509 (Learning Resources Center), provides delivery of mail, computers and equipment, Central Business Office correspondence, interlibrary loan, and other materials between the eighteen participating school districts and all BOCES offices and technical centers.
During the school year, Wednesdays are reserved for special deliveries such as large or heavy equipment, multiple boxes, or other items that may not fit on the regular van run. This includes anything that might require the use of the hand cart and/or ramp. Envelopes and small packages that easily fit in the van mail bag do not require advance notification or use of this form. Deliveries to BOCES sites not on the regular runs are also completed on Wednesdays. Please use the online request form to notify the LRC of your needs.
Inclement Weather Procedure
To ensure the safety of our driver, as well as protecting BOCES and school district property, the BOCES LRC Van Service will not run on days where more than half the districts on that day’s run are on a 2-hour delay or closed due to bad weather.
If fewer than half of districts on that day’s run are delayed or closed, the situation will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. An email with the status of the day’s delivery schedule will be sent as soon as possible.
Schools on the canceled run will receive service on their next regularly scheduled delivery day. (e.g. If a Monday run is canceled, schools on that run will receive deliveries again on Thursday.) If there are time-sensitive materials that need to move on a particular day, please contact the SLS/LRC Secretary by phone at (315) 386-4504 ext 10203 and we will do our best to arrange delivery.
