Students Aid Kestrel Restoration with Handcrafted Nesting Boxes

Students in Mr. Morgan’s Natural Resource Management program recently constructed 25 Kestrel boxes for the Adirondack Raptors and the Kestrel restoration project. The Kestrel, a small raptor and member of the falcon family, has seen a decline in numbers over the past few decades. These boxes, made from rough cut white pine harvested and sawed at Seaway Tech, will be placed in local counties to provide a much-needed nesting habitat for these birds.
